Abstract

This editorial is pleased to present the chosen theme for this edition of the RIAA magazine, the Aquatic Exercise modality. A versatile modality that has been used in different contexts and approaches, and that is already part of the main guidelines for the prevention, control, and support in the treatment of different pathologies. However, although there are more than 3000 scientific articles published involving the keyword aquatic exercise/hydroaerobics, meta-analyses continue to reinforce the importance of establishing protocols with higher quality, greater rigor, and control of important variables regarding exercise in the aquatic environment. Thus, with this edition, the RIAA magazine aims to value Aquatic Exercise, providing the opportunity for scientific work in this field to be disseminated in an accessible and free manner.
