The Platform of Scientific Communication Journals, Platcom Diamante, organized on June 7 an outstanding meeting of editors within the framework of the V Hermes Congress, held in Tenerife. The session brought together editors of scientific journals from Spain and Latin America, generating a valuable space for dialogue around the challenges and best practices of editorial work in the academic field of communication.

During the meeting, the editors shared experiences and reflected on various key aspects of the editorial process, such as the assignment and role of reviewers, the length and structure of texts, the use of editorial templates, internal management processes, as well as the coordination and dissemination of monographic issues. This exchange made it possible to identify common challenges and collaborative strategies to strengthen the quality and visibility of scientific publications in communication.

The Hermes Congress, which this year celebrates its fifth edition, has established itself as a space for academic reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue. In this edition, researchers and professionals from Spanish and Latin American universities took part, addressing current issues such as digital ecosystems, social networks, advertising and marketing, digital activism, audiovisual production and the emerging role of streaming platforms.

With initiatives such as this, Platcom Diamante reaffirms its commitment to the promotion of open access and editorial excellence in scientific communication journals.
