The document is focused on the filmography of Federico Fellini and the performances performed by his own presence. The performances by actor Marcello Mastroianni are also included on this research. This research presents a methodology with its own original and effective analysis tools. This documentation is also related to the different stages of film production of the selected films. On the other hand, the characters shown in the different films are analyzed and compared to find similarities and differences between them. Subsequently, all the data are compared together in order to draw conclusions. The results show that Fellini is exposed in his own filmography through his own presence through characters related with his professional sphere. The intimate, personal and private sphere is delegated to the characters performed by Mastroianni. In addition, it is certified that the analysis of the activity of other production departments it is useful for the study of auto-fiction.
