La imagen en las revistas femeninas de alta gama | The picture in high end women’s magazines
Main Article Content
Abstract

This time, our focus is on the analysis of the images that illustrate this magazines, with the purpose of defining its characteristics and their contribution to the journalistic message and the position of informative photography, when compared to artistic photography, associated with these publications. Based on a content análisis generated from a combination of registration of latent variables (such as thematic items) and manifest variables (such as the level of iconicity or type of image) has been posible to confirm, among other results, a lower incidence –as expected– the so-called artistic photography. However, if the subject of the article or journalistic genre has required, the denotative image has been relegated to the background, ceding its role to images with a very detailed scenography, with a typical internal composition of an artistic product, not an information product.Downloads
