Miguel Hernández Communication Journal (MHJournal) is a scientific journal specialising in Communication in the field of Social Sciences. It welcomes interdisciplinary research on Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising, Cinema, as well as the link between Communication and the Visual Arts. It also considers subjects that relate to the above. It is particularly interested in medium and wide-ranging methodologies; therefore, highly specialised studies of very unrepresentative aspects will not be considered in this journal.

We are committed to the scientific and international dissemination of texts written in Spanish, regardless of the origin of the authors, thus offering an alternative to the Anglo-Saxon trend and the promotion of Spanish as a scientific language. In addition, we invite our authors to send their text translated into English in order to achieve greater dissemination. Those who send it in English must provide a Spanish version.

In the same way, we defend universal and open access to scientific knowledge, especially when we are a journal published in a public university. MHJournal does not charge authors or readers for the editorial process or for publication and access to articles. For this reason, MHJournal publishes only original and unpublished texts and penalises authors who submit the same content simultaneously to other journals.

The journal has three sections: Miscellaneous, Monographs and Reviews. Miscellaneous is open all year round; Monographs are described in the Call for Papers tab; Reviews, although they can be submitted at any time of the year, will only be published in the July issue.

MHJournal belongs to the Platform of Scientific Communication Journals, PlatCom Diamante, and its vocation is that of a public service to the research communities to disseminate their scientific results.
