Análisis psicométrico de un cuestionario de percepción de apoyo social en universitarios

Antecedentes y objetivo: Se ha demostrado que el apoyo social acciona como amortiguador ante eventos estresores de la vida universitaria. El apoyo social se deriva a partir de la percepción de apoyo potencialmente disponible producto de la red de personas como la familia, amigos y demás. Por ello, la importancia de validar un instrumento de apoyo social en el contexto universitario debido a los factores específicos que enfrenta el estudiante en la universidad. Materiales y método: El presente estudio examinó las propiedades psicométricas de la escala de percepción de apoyo social en universitarios peruanos. Participaron 746 estudiantes (405 mujeres y 341 hombres) entre 18 a 29 años (Medad = 20.67, DE = 2.76) de 7 carreras universitarias. Resultados: El análisis confirmatorio que verificó un ajuste satisfactorio en el modelo de 3 factores con 2 errores correlacionados (χ2 = 267.8, gl = 85, p < 0.01, CFI = .95, RMSEA = .05 [IC90% .05, .06]; SRMR = .05). La confiabilidad se realizó por el coeficiente de Omega (ω), se reportó valores adecuados en las dimensiones de familia (.82), amigos (.84) y otros (.72). Conclusiones: Se concluye que la versión peruana de apoyo social cuenta con adecuadas evidencias de validez y confiabilidad en universitarios peruanos.
