Psychosocial risk factors at work and burnout depending on the occupational category

The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between different psychosocial risk factors (PRF) and burnout, as well as whether this relationship is affected by the occupational category. For this purpose, a sample of 478 participants, divided into three groups (managers, middle managers and workers), were given the Survey Assessment Method of psychosocial factors at the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSHT) and the Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey (MBI-GS). The results suggest the existence of a relathipship between some FRP and burnout. Furthermore, it is found that the FRP with significant influence on burnout are different for each occupational category. The results suggest that interventions aimed at the prevention and modification of FRP could focus specially on those significant risk factors considered by occupational category, thus optimizing effortsDownloads
