Abstract

ABSTRACT

It is in childhood that a secure attachment between caregiver-child must be maintained, from there the physical-emotional closeness is formed, which guarantees an effective psychosocial bond. The objective is to analyze if there is a relationship between the affective bond with the attachment figures and the influence at the moment of forming a relationship. Methodology: The design was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional, with a sample of 61 people, from the city of Saltillo, Monclova, Piedras Negras, Acuña, Coahuila and Tampico, Tamaulipas. The Adult Attachment Questionnaire was applied. Results: It was observed that between the dimensions "Hostile resolution" (HR), "Low self-esteem" (BA), "Self-sufficiency" (AS) and "Expression of feelings" (ES), present significant correlation. RH and BA (rho = .639, p = .000), RH and AS (rho = .613, p = .000), AS and BA (rho = .576, p = .492), ES and BA (rho = .325, p = .010), ES and AS (rho = .267, p = .036). Two variables were taken from the dimensions BA "I have confidence in myself" and AS "I prefer stable relationships to sporadic couples", showing a significant relationship (rho = .365, p = .004). Conclusions: Attachment in childhood is of utmost importance in order to develop stable and lasting relationships, in the same way it guarantees security and independence to function in their environment.
