Abstract

This article addresses the case of the first phase of Sorginak, a fanzine produced by the Lesbian Feminist Collective of Euskadi, within the interpretative frameworks of the historiography of the Feminist Movement, the Homosexual Liberation Fronts during the Spanish Democratic Transition, and queer activisms of the 1990s. First, by focusing on the political development of the group within the context of feminist and gay movements in Euskal Herria, we will analyze some of the processes and strategies traceable in Sorginak as part of a collective poetic-political imagination process. Specifically, the article will first examine the organization of collective work in this editorial project, defending the notion of self-publication, and will then turn to its affective content, which we propose to address for the construction of alternative historical narratives. In doing so, this work seeks to expand the sources for the study of LGTBIQ+ memories and resistances, focusing particularly on Sorginak's potential to create lesbian and dyke counter-publics.
