REGIONALISED APPROACH. THE CASE STUDIES IN THE BALEARIC SEA

Abstract

Regionalization is a general principle of the European Union’s Common Fisheries Policy. This study aims to integrate its application with the maritime division of GSAs, offering an approach to the concept, providing a management experience in the Balearic Sea (GSA 5), and supporting the thesis that a local perspective contributes to achieving the overarching goals of a fisheries policy.
