Abstract

App Lonja 2.0 is a proof of concept aimed at validating a digital platform for the commercialization of fresh fish in the Mediterranean, integrating sustainability, traceability, and digitalization. The tool has been tested in real operational contexts across several fish markets in the Region of Murcia, demonstrating its technical and operational feasibility as well as its adaptability. The results highlight improvements in commercial efficiency and stakeholder connectivity, with particularly promising acceptance in the Águilas area. The project has been widely disseminated and promoted through specialized forums, especially the 12th Workshop on Marine and Coastal Environment, which proved essential for showcasing its progress and fostering strategic partnerships. Overall, the initiative contributes to advancing more sustainable, collaborative, and resilient models within the Mediterranean fisheries system.
