DIGITALISATION AND CORPORATE SUSTAINBILITY: A NEW BOOST TO A PAST PROJECT

Abstract

Despite the fact that the modernisation and, in particular, the digitalisation of corporations has been one of the most important golas in recent times, we cannot deny that, in the face of current challenges, the generalised digitalisation of Law and, in particular, of Company law requires a decisive boost as it is an essential instrument to achieve improvements in productivity and competitiveness. However, the digitalisation of corporations must pursue another great objective at all times: business sustainability. As a matter of fact companies have to advance on the path of digitalisation maintaining, at all times, a balance with the commitment to achieve sustainable development.
