Submissions

Registration and login are required to submit manuscripts and to check the status of recent submissions. To do so, go to Log in to an existing account or Register a new account.

Manuscripts may be submitted for publication in Spanish or English, and the language of submission will be the language of publication. However, the table of contents, abstract and keywords must be submitted in both languages. This information will appear in both languages, regardless of the language in which the manuscript is published.

During the submission process, you will be asked to provide, in the relevant section, the name of the corresponding author, their institutional affiliation and their email address. It is recommended that you also include your ORCID identifier during registration. In the case of co-authored works, the details of all authors must be provided.

Checklist for preparing submissions

All submissions must meet the following requirements; otherwise, they will be returned to the authors:

  • The work is original and has not been previously published.
  • The file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • The text follows the templates (articles and reviews) of the SJLS.
  • DOI references have been added where available.
  • Web addresses have been added to references where possible.
  • The text complies with the requirements of the author guidelines.

The names and email addresses provided to this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes set out herein and will not be disclosed to third parties or used for any other purpose.

Frequency and Sections of the Journal

Spanish Journal of Legislative Studies is an annual journal (published in December) and comprises two sections: Articles and Book Reviews.
