MHJournal receives the Diamond Discovery Hub quality recognition

The scientific journal Miguel Hernández Communication Journal has been recognized by the Diamond Discovery Hub (DDH) after meeting the quality criteria associated with the Diamond Open Access model.

The evaluation was carried out by the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología, within its role as the national node of the European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH). In this framework, FECYT acts as a trusted source for verifying compliance with the requirements established by the DDH, as well as for indexing journals that meet them.

The Diamond Discovery Hub brings together scientific journals that operate under an open access model without charging fees to either authors or readers. For inclusion, it verifies criteria such as persistent identification of content, the academic nature of the journal, the use of open licenses, the absence of fees, openness to submissions, and a community-based governance structure.

Following this process, FECYT has confirmed that Miguel Hernández Communication Journal meets the established requirements, allowing its inclusion in this international environment of diamond open access journals.

The European Diamond Capacity Hub also provides editorial teams with resources and guidelines to progress towards the Diamond OA Standard (DOAS), aimed at ensuring transparent and sustainable editorial practices. Miguel Hernández Communication Journal is part of Platcom.
