Given the ongoing development of the automotive sector and the need for European-level regulatory action on this issue, this paper aims to analyze potential legal and regulatory solutions capable of adequately reconciling the forms of liability for damages caused by defective products—as they apply to manufacturers—with the necessary safeguards to protect the injured party.
