Impacto de la fibromialgia en la calidad de vida: El rol mediador de la autocompasión sobre el bienestar subjetivo

La presencia de factores protectores a nivel intrapersonal, como la autocompasión, puede amortiguar la percepción de estrés y los sentimientos de incompetencia y frustración asociados con el impacto de la fibromialgia en la calidad de vida. El objetivo del presente estudio fue explorar la relación entre el impacto de la fibromialgia y el bienestar subjetivo, contemplando la autocompasión como variable mediadora. Participaron 402 mujeres con fibromialgia, a las que se administró un cuestionario para obtener información sobre el impacto de la enfermedad, la autocompasión y el bienestar subjetivo. Se realizaron análisis correlacional y mediacional con SPSS. Los resultados indicaron la existencia de relaciones significativas entre las variables. Además, se encontró un efecto indirecto significativo del impacto de la fibromialgia sobre el bienestar subjetivo a través de la autocompasión. Se concluye que la autocompasión puede mediar parcialmente el efecto del impacto de la fibromialgia sobre el bienestar subjetivo.
